Toyo Proxes Sport R Tire - 215/45ZR17 91W XL
Need a tire that's good for the commute but still fun when you get a chance to push it? The Toyo Proxes Sport R in 215/45ZR17 91W XL fits that role. It's part of Toyo's ultra-high-performance summer lineup, meaning the focus is dry grip and sharp handling rather than all-season versatility. The tread compound is silica-based and grips well once the road warms up, and a tapered tread design helps the tire stay planted under hard braking or when you're leaned into a corner. Deep grooves running around the tire clear water fast, so a wet road doesn't catch you off guard. Underneath, a rayon casing paired with two-ply sidewalls gives it a firmer, more responsive feel, and steel belts keep things stable at higher speeds. This size is a popular fit for compact sport sedans and coupes on 17-inch wheels. Just keep in mind it's a summer-only tire — once the weather turns cold, the rubber stiffens up and loses grip, so it's worth swapping out before winter hits.
